Step 3 - Stakeholder Analysis and Team Building

Having identified the real problem, we turn our attention to discovering whose problem this is. Our consultants can help you create an effective approach to stakeholder identification, analysis and management.

In any requirements initiative it is vital that all stakeholders are uncovered. To miss one could well guarantee that your requirements will be incomplete or will contain hidden conflicts.

It is important that we have a clear picture of who the stakeholders are, what their view points are and how critical they are to the project at hand.

Our consultants can also advise on the most effective approaches to team building for effective requirements engineering. Our approach is to ensure that teams either contain, or at least have close liasion with represenatives of the hands on users, developers and testers - a multi disciplinary team (MDT). Such a team can become highly motivated and demonstate high morale. We will also describe an extended team structure, ensuring that all stakeholders are effectively but efficiently represented. Finally, we will demonstrate how to continue our general approach of close liasion with project management.
