Our Approach to Training

Our lecturers

We believe that the people who build or deliver our training courses must be experts in their relevant field. We employ only those who can combine considerable lecturing ability with an in depth background in their specialism.

Training the trainers

We expect all Capiro lecturers to continually follow an active programme to objectively assess and improve their teaching and presentation skills. Capiro has its own train the trainer processes which are also available as a service to clients. To ensure objectivity and to facilitate a constant stream of fresh ideas, lecturers are also encouraged to follow an external improvement programme. We like all of our trainers to be active members of the Institute of IT Training (IITT) or similar organisation.

Our processes

We are continually reviewing our processes, techniques and methods to ensure that they are as effective as we can make them. We also frequently review the course objectives and content, both against delegate feedback and against the latest ideas in the specialist field concerned.

Our venues

Our preferred choice of course venue is at one of specially selected three or four star hotels where we can manage the entire training experience. However, our approach to training is essentially to fit in with your needs. We can offer training at your site or at a venue selected by yourselves. We can also offer training at unusual times such as at weekends.

Number of delegates per course

In order to give delegates the attention that they need and deserve, at Capiro we limit number of delegates per public course to 12. Prices for Onsite Courses are quoted as an all in price that allows the client to send up to 15 delegates. If as a potential client you feel that you would rather exceed this limit, please call us to discuss your needs.

Prior to coming on a Capiro course:

Course delegates will be asked to complete an experience form related to their background in the subject area covered by the course. You will note that some of our courses have suggested pre-requisite experience and training. Following receipt of the completed form, we may contact the delegate concerned for a discussion to ensure that the requested course really is appropriate to their need at that time. We also welcome the opportunity to discuss training needs with managers of the delegates. Capiro is also able to conduct a full training needs analysis for the client.

During the course:

Capiro use a participative style of lecturing. This is supported by the use of plenty of practical exercises where delegates get the opportunity to work independently or in small teams. The delegate should understand that the lecturer is always available to assist them. The lecturer will regularly assess reactions to the course.

After the course:

As part of our commitment to you, the client, we like to follow up after any course. In particular it is useful to see if the course has been effective in improving the delegate's capacity in their role; we can discuss any additional help that may be required.

Our Guarantee of Satisfaction

In the unlikely situation that the client realises that the course is not appropriate to their needs, Capiro will typically credit the client for another of our courses; if no suitable course can be found, other possibilities will be considered including the provision of a refund of the course fees.
